Right off the interstate for convenience, and excellent prices, service and coffee! Love finding local small restaurant who still does it right
I was in town visiting a friend and wanted some breakfast before hitting the road.I found this place on a whim honestly. I searched for breakfast spots, and chose Zeig’s Cafe because it’s not a chain and I wanted something made to order.I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and the portions. I ordered a breakfast plate with grits, scrambled eggs, and toast. It was hot, fresh, and hit the spot. I literally couldn’t finish everything.I ordered take out because I had a long drive ahead of me. The dining area was small but quaint, and had plenty of seating available. The waitress that took my order was sweet, accommodating, and made sure that I had plenty of napkins, cutlery, and jelly/butter in my bag before leaving. When I’m in town I wouldn’t mind dining here again with a friend and trying out their lunch options, because I was so impressed with their breakfast menu.Definitely recommend checking out this local place. Breakfast did not disappoint!
Hubby chose the spot this time! Alittle place that's been in the same location for 20 years! (We asked.) Warm welcome. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Service spot on! I didn't get the young lady's name but she was so sweet. I had the breakfast bowl with grits, eggs, and sausage. Yummy!! Hubby had the big breakfast with the Carolina sausage. He kept saying he wished he could make his grits and his French toast come out this way! A couple of guys from law enforcement were enjoying a break as well. Another guest paid for their meals. We're in town for one more day and guess where we will have our breakfast! I'm getting the pancakes this time! No chain restaurants for us.
We came through town on a road trip for a quick breakfast. Breakfast was great! It was quick and service was very friendly. The decor/atmosphere was simple, old diner like, no fuss. It was perfect for our family with young, energetic and loud kids. we will be back!
A must stop! The burgers were the best we’ve had! So much flavor in them and super fresh. Their battered fries! I would drive back just to stop at Zeigs cafe. We were driving through and wanted a breakfast/lunch spot. We skipped all the normal stops and found this one. So glad we did!
Quaint little café with friendly, attentive staff. Fairly priced breakfast options. I had 2 pancakes and could barely finish them because they were so thick and fluffy! Definitely worth a try. A nice change of pace, and good to support a local eatery.
Found this local place while visiting family in the area. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding! Owners Carol & Zeig really make you feel welcome & at home. We loved it so much we went back 3 days in a row for breakfast! Our favorites: biscuits with egg & cheese & french toast. Coffee is also very good. Decor is simple with inspirational quotes on the walls (think: “church basement” vibes). Like that they have an open kitchen so you can watch what’s happening with your food. We went during the week and it was pretty busy, I imagine it gets super busy during the weekend, so plan ahead. They don’t take reservations and they close at 2. Already looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks!
In Brunswick for a soccer tournament, we were lucky enough to find this Mom, and Pop Cafe, just minutes away from our hotel, and minutes away from many hotels. THE BEST BREAKFAST! Skip the chain restaurants, and try this local cafe, you will not be disappointed!
